Terms of Service

Orders and installation

Joint Builders, LLC provides the building and options identified in your accepted order. Installation is included. A $200 travel charge per building applies to Snohomish, Cowlitz, and Clark counties. Our normal coverage includes Pierce, King, Kitsap, Thurston, Mason, Grays Harbor, and Lewis counties. We do not serve island locations or locations requiring ferry travel. Applicable sales tax and any separately approved site work will be disclosed before payment is finalized. Installation dates are confirmed by Joint Builders.

You must provide suitable access and a prepared installation area and obtain any permits or approvals assigned to you in the written order agreement. We will communicate site requirements before installation. Unsafe conditions, weather, or access problems may require rescheduling.

Payments

Credit and debit cards are charged in full at checkout through PayPal. Cash and personal check orders require no upfront payment; the full balance is due upon crew arrival the morning of installation, before work begins. Orders paid entirely in cash receive a $100 discount per building before sales tax. Travel charges are unchanged. Personal checks do not qualify for the cash discount.

We accept personal checks even if the printed name or address differs from the construction address. We do not accept bank counter checks, cashier’s checks, or digital checks.

Changes and rescheduling

Customer-requested changes to size, shape, accessories, or other order details after our crew arrives on the scheduled installation day are subject to a $500 change-order fee. Additional materials and labor are priced separately. We will provide the fee, revised scope, additional price, and schedule effects in writing for your approval before carrying out changed work. Changes may require additional installation days or rescheduling.

Customer-requested changes to a confirmed installation date within 72 hours before its scheduled start are subject to a $500 rescheduling fee. Joint Builders may waive either fee at its discretion and will try to accommodate reasonable requests. We will not assess both fees for the same disruption. These fees do not apply to Joint Builders-initiated delays caused by weather, safety concerns, or crew availability. A change-order or rescheduling fee is not automatically a cancellation fee.

Payment collection and nonpayment

An additional trip actually required to collect overdue payment is subject to a $150 collection-trip fee. This does not apply to payment collected during the normal installation visit. Unpaid amounts may result in suspension of work and lawful collection remedies, including a construction lien when applicable requirements are met. Nothing in these terms replaces legally required notices or disclosures.

Photography and video — required project documentation

As part of the purchase agreement, you authorize Joint Builders and its authorized personnel to photograph and film the building, relevant site conditions, and installation work before, during, and after installation. This documentation is a standard requirement of our service and has no routine opt-out. It may be retained for completion records, quality control, warranty service, payment disputes, and other legitimate project administration. Relevant records may be provided to service providers, insurers, advisers, or authorities when reasonably necessary for those purposes or required by law. Records may identify the order and installation location when necessary.

Photography and video — building marketing authorization

As part of the purchase agreement, you also authorize Joint Builders to reproduce, edit, and publish photographs and video of the building and installation work on its website, social media, and advertising, without compensation or individual approval of each use. This authorization is a standard purchase term with no routine marketing opt-out, subject to applicable law. It does not authorize unrestricted photography of your property, access outside agreed project visits, or use of your name, face, voice, or testimonial in advertising without separate permission.

We will take reasonable measures to protect privacy in public media: avoid or obscure identifiable customers and neighbors, house numbers, license plates, private belongings, and other identifying details; remove location metadata from published copies; and avoid publishing customer names, installation addresses, or precise location tags. Absolute anonymity cannot be guaranteed where surroundings are recognizable. Identifiable staff or other people intentionally featured in marketing require their own permission. We will not record private conversations without the required consent; project video will otherwise be captured without audio.

Contact us if public media exposes identifying or sensitive information. We will review the concern and, where appropriate, crop, blur, replace, or remove content from channels we control. Necessary internal records may still be retained. We cannot guarantee recall of printed materials or third-party reposts. This privacy-correction process is not a general photography opt-out and does not limit rights required by law.

Warranty and customer rights

Covered defects are addressed under the Joint Builders Limited 5-Year Warranty. These terms do not expand or reduce that warranty or eliminate nonwaivable consumer rights. Applicable statutory cancellation rights and required notices take precedence over conflicting terms.
