Terms of Service
Orders and installation
Joint Builders, LLC provides the building and options identified in your accepted order. Installation is included. A $200 travel charge per building applies to Snohomish, Cowlitz, and Clark counties. Our normal coverage includes Pierce, King, Kitsap, Thurston, Mason, Grays Harbor, and Lewis counties. We do not serve island locations or locations requiring ferry travel. Applicable sales tax and any separately approved site work will be disclosed before payment is finalized. Installation dates are confirmed by Joint Builders.
You must provide suitable access and a prepared installation area and obtain any permits or approvals assigned to you in the written order agreement. We will communicate site requirements before installation. Unsafe conditions, weather, or access problems may require rescheduling.
Payments
Credit and debit cards are charged in full at checkout through PayPal. Cash and personal check orders require no upfront payment; the full balance is due upon crew arrival the morning of installation, before work begins. Orders paid entirely in cash receive a $100 discount per building before sales tax. Travel charges are unchanged. Personal checks do not qualify for the cash discount.
We accept personal checks even if the printed name or address differs from the construction address. We do not accept bank counter checks, cashier’s checks, or digital checks.
Changes and rescheduling
Customer-requested changes to size, shape, accessories, or other order details after our crew arrives on the scheduled installation day are subject to a $500 change-order fee. Additional materials and labor are priced separately. We will provide the fee, revised scope, additional price, and schedule effects in writing for your approval before carrying out changed work. Changes may require additional installation days or rescheduling.
Customer-requested changes to a confirmed installation date within 72 hours before its scheduled start are subject to a $500 rescheduling fee. Joint Builders may waive either fee at its discretion and will try to accommodate reasonable requests. We will not assess both fees for the same disruption. These fees do not apply to Joint Builders-initiated delays caused by weather, safety concerns, or crew availability. A change-order or rescheduling fee is not automatically a cancellation fee.
Payment collection and nonpayment
An additional trip actually required to collect overdue payment is subject to a $150 collection-trip fee. This does not apply to payment collected during the normal installation visit. Unpaid amounts may result in suspension of work and lawful collection remedies, including a construction lien when applicable requirements are met. Nothing in these terms replaces legally required notices or disclosures.
Photography and video — required project documentation
As part of the purchase agreement, you authorize Joint Builders and its authorized personnel to photograph and film the building, relevant site conditions, and installation work before, during, and after installation. This documentation is a standard requirement of our service and has no routine opt-out. It may be retained for completion records, quality control, warranty service, payment disputes, and other legitimate project administration. Relevant records may be provided to service providers, insurers, advisers, or authorities when reasonably necessary for those purposes or required by law. Records may identify the order and installation location when necessary.
Photography and video — building marketing authorization
As part of the purchase agreement, you also authorize Joint Builders to reproduce, edit, and publish photographs and video of the building and installation work on its website, social media, and advertising, without compensation or individual approval of each use. This authorization is a standard purchase term with no routine marketing opt-out, subject to applicable law. It does not authorize unrestricted photography of your property, access outside agreed project visits, or use of your name, face, voice, or testimonial in advertising without separate permission.
We will take reasonable measures to protect privacy in public media: avoid or obscure identifiable customers and neighbors, house numbers, license plates, private belongings, and other identifying details; remove location metadata from published copies; and avoid publishing customer names, installation addresses, or precise location tags. Absolute anonymity cannot be guaranteed where surroundings are recognizable. Identifiable staff or other people intentionally featured in marketing require their own permission. We will not record private conversations without the required consent; project video will otherwise be captured without audio.
Contact us if public media exposes identifying or sensitive information. We will review the concern and, where appropriate, crop, blur, replace, or remove content from channels we control. Necessary internal records may still be retained. We cannot guarantee recall of printed materials or third-party reposts. This privacy-correction process is not a general photography opt-out and does not limit rights required by law.
Warranty and customer rights
Covered defects are addressed under the Joint Builders Limited 5-Year Warranty. These terms do not expand or reduce that warranty or eliminate nonwaivable consumer rights. Applicable statutory cancellation rights and required notices take precedence over conflicting terms.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Requesting cancellation
Email nicholas@jointbuildersllc.com or text (253) 210-3033 with your name, order number, installation address, and request. You may also call for assistance. We will confirm receipt in writing. The time we receive your request determines when you requested cancellation, not the time we respond. Any legally required cancellation method remains available.
Before preparation begins
Cancel without a cancellation fee before fabrication, nonreturnable special orders, or other agreed chargeable work begins. Any payment will be refunded in full.
After preparation begins
If you cancel after preparation begins, you are responsible only for reasonable, documented, unrecoverable costs that were disclosed and agreed to before being incurred. These may include completed fabrication, authorized site preparation, and nonreturnable special-order materials. We will credit supplier refunds, materials we can reasonably reuse or resell, and avoided expenses; we will not recover the same cost twice. We will provide an itemized explanation. Cancellation charges will not exceed the agreed order total. The $500 change-order/rescheduling fee is not an automatic cancellation charge.
We will refund the remaining prepaid balance. For cash or personal check orders with no upfront payment, applicable cancellation charges may be invoiced separately. Statutory cancellation rights take precedence.
Changes, delays, and company cancellation
Rescheduling is governed by the Terms of Service, including the customer-requested change within 72 hours provision. We will communicate delays and available alternatives. If Joint Builders cannot fulfill an order for reasons within its control, payments for undelivered products and unperformed work will be refunded without a cancellation penalty. For other cancellations, charges, if any, remain limited by this policy and applicable law.
Completed buildings
Installed buildings are not eligible for change-of-mind returns. This does not limit remedies for defects, nonconforming work, or rights under applicable law. Covered issues are handled under the Limited 5-Year Warranty.
Refund timing and method
We will initiate refunds within 10 business days after confirming the amount due, or sooner when required by law. Card refunds are returned through the original payment transaction. Cash or check refunds will be arranged directly with the customer. Banks and payment providers may require additional processing time. Refunds cannot exceed amounts paid; discounts are not redeemable for cash. Associated tax adjustments will be included as applicable.

Information and purposes
Joint Builders, LLC uses information you provide, including your name, contact details, installation address, building selections, communications, and order information, to respond to requests, prepare quotes, process orders, schedule installation, provide service, and maintain business records. Photography and video are used for project documentation and building-focused marketing as described in the Terms of Service.
Payment processing is handled by PayPal for card orders. Do not send card details by text or email. We use Zoom for phone, messaging, and appointment services. Those providers' own policies govern information they handle independently.
Sharing and safeguards
We share information with installers and providers only as reasonably necessary to fulfill services, maintain records, protect legal rights, or comply with law. We do not sell customer personal information. We use reasonable safeguards and limit access to people with a business need. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Security verification
We use Cloudflare Turnstile on protected forms and account or checkout screens to help distinguish people from automated traffic, prevent spam, and protect the website. Cloudflare may process technical signals such as your IP address, browser and network information, the website origin, and challenge results to operate and improve its bot-detection service. Our custom consultation and saved-design verification requests send a verification token to Cloudflare; they do not include your project details, contact fields, installation address, signature, or payment credentials.
Security verification operates independently of optional analytics and advertising choices and remains active when optional tracking is declined. It does not enroll you in marketing. Learn more in Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum and Privacy Policy. If verification prevents you from submitting a request, call (253) 210-3033 or email nicholas@jointbuildersllc.com for assistance.
Mobile information and SMS consent
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text-message opt-in data and consent are excluded from other sharing provisions and will not be sold, transferred, or shared for another party's messaging campaigns. Necessary messaging service providers may process information solely to deliver our communications, or as required by law; this does not give them permission to market to you.
SMS permission is separate from accepting our purchase terms and photography authorization. If you choose to opt in, Joint Builders may text you about inquiries, quotes, appointments, installation, orders, and service. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help, or contact (253) 210-3033 or nicholas@jointbuildersllc.com. Declining SMS does not prevent a purchase; we can use phone or email. Promotional SMS requires a separate opt-in and is not included in the order-update permission.
Project-media privacy and retention
Internal project records may contain order and location details needed for completion, service, or disputes. Public marketing copies are reviewed and edited using the privacy measures in the Terms of Service. Public-media privacy concerns can be reported using the contact information below. We may retain necessary internal records even if a public copy is corrected or removed.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the stated business purposes, applicable contractual and legal obligations, and resolving disputes. Access, correction, or deletion requests may be submitted to us; we will respond as required by applicable law. Some information must be retained for legitimate recordkeeping or legal obligations.
Saved designs
When you save a design, we retain its selected building, options, price snapshot, and installation details for up to 90 days. If you request an emailed copy, we also retain the contact information you provide, send your design to you, and share a copy with Joint Builders for project assistance. This does not enroll you in promotional email or SMS. Private design links allow anyone holding the link to view the saved design and installation details. Keep them private. Contact nicholas@jointbuildersllc.com to request deletion.
Electronic disclosure records
When you sign the Washington customer disclosure, we collect your printed name, drawn signature, acknowledgment, signing timestamp, and the disclosure version and associate them with your order. We retain the signed record for at least three years and provide copies to you and Joint Builders. Access is limited to authorized staff, service providers supporting this process, and recipients of your private download link. Do not share that link. Paper signing can be arranged by calling (253) 210-3033.
Website activity measurement
Optional activity counters operate only with analytics permission. Essential order and security records remain independent of tracking choices.
With analytics permission, we record counts of configurator steps, saved designs, cart additions, checkout visits, and accepted orders to improve the shopping experience. Permitted campaign labels and offer-entry categories may be retained with the WooCommerce session and order. Campaign context expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. The chosen offer identifier is also retained as part of the purchased product record even if optional tracking is declined. Activity counters are retained for up to 90 days and do not contain names, email addresses, phone numbers, installation addresses, payment details, or private design links. Browser session storage limits repeat checkout counts within a tab. Brief security rate limits are stored separately to protect website forms.
Analytics and your tracking choices
Optional analytics and advertising preferences are off until you choose them. Use Accept optional tracking, Reject optional tracking, or Manage preferences. You can reopen Privacy choices at any time. Your choice is stored in this browser for up to 180 days. These choices are separate from SMS permission, purchase terms, and photography authorization. Essential configuration, checkout and security remain available when optional tracking is declined.
When Google measurement is enabled and you permit analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager to measure public-page visits and selected shopping activity. Google may process cookie identifiers, browser/device information, approximate location and interactions. Our event fields exclude names, email addresses, phone numbers, installation addresses, signatures, payment details and private links. Google scripts are not loaded on checkout, account or signing pages. If server-based order measurement is configured and analytics permission was given, anonymous analytics identifiers, selected product identifiers and order amounts may be sent to Google to measure checkout and orders. This does not include customer contact details, installation addresses, signatures, private links or payment credentials. Advertising personalization and advertising user data remain disabled for these order events. This release does not activate remarketing or Meta tracking.
Withdrawing permission stops subsequent optional tracking and reloads a page if Google was already loaded. It does not erase information previously collected. Learn how Google uses information and review the Analytics opt-out add-on or Google advertising preferences. Contact us about access or deletion requests. Provider retention depends on the configured service settings; we will verify and disclose advertising features before enabling them.
Consultation and site-survey requests
When you request a consultation or site survey, we collect your name, email, phone, installation city or ZIP, building interests, project details, and separate SMS permission choice to respond and arrange next steps. Requests are stored privately for authorized Joint Builders staff and emailed to our business inbox. This does not subscribe you to marketing. Unneeded closed requests are removed after 180 days; necessary customer or project records may be retained separately. Contact us to request access or deletion. Request status and recorded SMS permission can be reviewed in our administration area; Zoom opt-out status must also be checked before texting.
Website technology and contact
The live store may use essential cookies for cart, checkout, security, and session functions. To support Back and Forward navigation, selected building sizes and options may also be stored in this browser tab for up to 24 hours. This option-recovery record does not include your installation address, contact details, payment information, or signature. Prices and sales tax are verified again before ordering. Any optional analytics or advertising technologies and applicable choices will be disclosed before they are enabled. External sites and embedded services have their own privacy practices.
Contact Joint Builders, LLC at nicholas@jointbuildersllc.com or (253) 210-3033. Updates to this policy will be posted with a revised date; material changes to previously agreed permissions require any notice or consent required by law.
